If you live in Maitland, Apopka or the small towns northwest of Orlando and you have been looking for real organic sourdough, this one is for you. I am Bas, and with my wife Catalina and our son Nathaniel I bake at The Little Dutch Bakery in Longwood. Every Thursday we deliver fresh loaves across 36 zip codes in the Orlando area, and Maitland, Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood and Sorrento are all on the list.
Our classic loaf is organic flour, water and salt. That is it. We ferment the old way, so you get a crisp crust, an open crumb and a real sourdough tang.
Thursday delivery to Maitland and Apopka
Local delivery is on Thursday, and these are the zip codes we cover in this part of town:

You order on Hotplate. Pick the Thursday delivery drop, place your order before the cutoff shown there, and Hotplate confirms your address. Orders of $20 or more have no delivery fee. What to put on your table
If you are new to our bread, start with Our Signature Sourdough, or the Sliced Classic if you want toast ready to go in the morning. The Multigrain is made with our Super 7 Seed Mix, and it also comes sliced.
For something savory, try Olive, Garlic Parmesan, Jalapeño Cheddar or Sun-dried Tomatoes and Basil. On the sweeter side there is Cranberry Walnut and Chocolate Espresso. We also bake sourdough scones, like Blueberry Lemon and Double Chocolate There is also a little taste of my home country: Dutch caramel stroopwafels.

Weekend farmers markets
We do not have a booth in Maitland or Apopka, but we bake overnight for three weekend markets:
- Saturday: Winter Park Farmers Market, 8 AM to 1 PM
- Saturday: Port Orange Farmers Market at the Pavilion, 9 AM to 1 PM
- Sunday: Mount Dora Village Farmers Market, 9 AM to 2 PM

Our Longwood bakery is coming

Why organic
I am from the Netherlands and left my executive chef job to bake full time. We chose organic flour because it is better food for everybody, and because Catalina has Hashimoto's and organic flour is much better for her. We bake that same loaf for everyone.
