Sourdough Shipping Online Store: Refund & Return Policy
At The Little Dutch Bakery, we are committed to providing you with the freshest, highest-quality sourdough products. Due to the perishable nature of our products and for the safety and well-being of all our customers, we have a specific policy regarding refunds and returns.
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if there are any issues.
1. Perishable Food Product Policy (No Returns Accepted):
Due to food safety regulations and the perishable nature of sourdough bread, we generally do not accept returns of food items once they have been shipped. This policy is in place to ensure the integrity and safety of our products for all customers.
2. Damaged or Incorrect Orders:
While we take every precaution to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition, unforeseen issues can sometimes occur during transit.

If your sourdough arrives damaged, moldy, or in an otherwise unsatisfactory condition (e.g., squashed, clearly spoiled upon arrival), or if you received an incorrect item:

Please provide your order number and clear photographic evidence of the damage or incorrect item. This is crucial for us to process your request and file a claim with the shipping carrier if necessary.

3. Delays in Shipping & Transit Issues:
We use reputable shipping carriers, but occasionally, unforeseen delays can occur that are beyond our control (e.g., weather events, carrier operational delays).

For significant, unforeseen shipping delays that result in spoilage: If your order is significantly delayed by the carrier and this directly leads to the spoilage of your sourdough upon arrival, please contact us within [24-48 hours] of receipt with photographic evidence. We will review these cases on an individual basis and may offer a refund or replacement at our discretion.

Minor shipping delays: We generally do not offer refunds or replacements for minor shipping delays (e.g., one day late) that do not result in product spoilage.
4. Incorrect Shipping Information Provided by Customer:
It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate and complete shipping information.

We are not responsible for orders that are undeliverable or delayed due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided by the customer.

In such cases, we will not be able to offer a refund or replacement. If the package is returned to us, and you wish for it to be re-shipped, you will be responsible for additional shipping costs.
5. Non-Receipt of Order (Lost in Transit):
If your tracking information shows that your order was delivered but you have not received it, or if your order appears to be lost in transit:

Please first check with your neighbors, household members, and your local post office or carrier depot.
